Most Importantly :

You retain copyright of your work.

Will anyone see my work?:

Eclecticism cannot promise it will make you the next literary or artistic star. But it has a rapidly growing subscription list of supporters who are eager to read and view fresh ideas.

And now the e-zine is preserved perpetually on the National Library of Australia's Pandora Archive. You could be a part of our cultural history!

Contributor Copyright Information

While Eclecticism is starting up, it cannot afford to pay contributors. The editor realises this is hardly a fast-track to one's professional career, but with a growing readership one can be assured they'll still receive an audience for their work.

There are still copyright considerations to take note of:

  • Upon submitting to and accepting a publication offer from Eclecticism, the author/creator is giving permission for their copyrighted work to be placed on the Eclecticism e-zine.
  • Eclecticism asks that you agree to give them electronic rights to publish your work and keep it on the website for 90 days (usual publication cycle), promoting your work as they see fit to benefit both the creator and e-zine.
  • Eclecticism then asks your permission to keep your work in its own archives (back issues) on the website (beyond the initial 90 days). You may refuse to keep your work on the Eclecticism website without prejudice.
  • However, please note that the e-zine is now regularly stored in the National Library of Australia's Pandora Archive, which identifies and archives online publications considered to have national significance and lasting cultural and research value. This is wonderful news for Eclecticism and you - your work will be preserved perpetually in the NLA.

  • Please remember that you still retain the copyright of your work. A copyright symbol/statement indicating such will be added to either your work or the contents/legalities page, as is appropriate, to dissuade potential violators.
  • Your work is kept in a PDF format, allowing the downloader to print but not alter what is presented to them.
  • Lastly, Eclecticism assumes your work is your own (need we say more...)!

LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS...
